"Hey, Applebloom, I was just cleaning around my room earlier this morning, and just look at what I found!" called Scootaloo.
The youngest member of the Apple family had barely turned around before a small, musty piece of cloth was shoved into her face. A blue patch of fabric was positioned in the middle of the cloth, with a golden-colored silhouette of a pony wearing a cape. Although it looked a little worn out after years of being in storage, it still was wearable. It did not take long before a flood of memories came rushing back to Applebloom. She was happy that she hadn't forgotten yet.
"Hey! This is-"
"Yep! It's our capes when we were the Cutie Mark Crusaders! I didn't even know I still had it!" Scootaloo finished Applebloom's statement, grinning from ear to ear.
"Wow..." Applebloom took the cape into her hooves, and chuckled, "Ah haven't seen this'n in a long, long time..."
"Thinking back to it now, it's a bit embarrassing how long it took for us to realize what our special talents really were!" Scootaloo rolled her eyes, and then performed a small twirl as a reference to the agile dance moves that she had mastered so well.
"Life seemed a-heckuva lot more simple back then, didn't it? The only thing we really worried about as fillies were getting our cutie marks,"
"Yeah...now it's work, work, work!"
"It was alot of fun though, and I'm super-grateful that I met you and Sweetie-belle...or else we might never have had ended up together." With a tiny smile, Applebloom leaned in, and gently brushed her muzzle against Scootaloo's, prompting the orange pony to properly return the favor.
