"Hey, Vaan," Laguna Loire said one day out of the blue as their team traversed the empty plains, "You ever see that pony show, Friendship is Magic?"

"Huh? Yeah, I have. What about it?"

"Ha! You look like the kind of guy who would like something like that!" Laguna chuckled.

"Did you ask me if I've seen it just so you could make fun of me?"

"Nah. I'm a fan too, believe it or not!"

"You would probably be more likely to watch it than me, I think..."

"Maybe so! Anyway, who's your favorite pony? I bet it's Fluttershy, right? Damn, I wish there were human girls that acted as cute as she does...!"

"Fluttershy's cute, I guess, but I like Pinkie Pie alot more. She's so random!"

"That she is!"

"Still...out of all of them, who's the best pony of them all? Like, if they all got into a brawl for some reason, and fought it out, who would come out on top?"

"That's a pretty odd scenario you thought up..."

"I have alot of free time on my hands." Vaan shrugged, and then grinned, as if it were something to be proud of.

Laguna rubbed his chin in deep thought. "Well," he began, "I'm pretty sure we can both agree that Fluttershy would probably be taken out quite easily in the start of the fight."

"That's obvious!"

"Rarity would never be willing to let her mane get dirty, so she might forfeit from the get-go as well."

"Hmm...you make a good point..."

"Pinkie Pie is a wildcard of sorts, so maybe, just maybe-"

Before Laguna even had a chance to finish his sentence, him and Vaan were suddenly accosted from behind by their fellow warrior of Cosmos, Lightning.

"Obviously, the winner would be Rainbow Dash." grunted the pink-haired femme fatale. The deadly serious look on her face greatly contrasted with the words coming out of her mouth. She even had her gun-blade unsheathed just in case one of them tried to suggest otherwise. However, Laguna and Vaan were far more shocked by the fact that the grumpiest, most uptight member of their team was a pony fan just like them. It was unbelievable.

Lightning took another step forward, her piercing gaze digging into the two mens' souls. "And another thing...just because Rarity and Fluttershy may seem weak sometimes doesn't mean you should just count them out right away. Also, your idea of them fighting each other is frankly quite disgusting; they are all best friends, and they would never do anything like that. Unless you want to be on the receiving end of my blade, stop being so ridiculous. Got it?"

"Y-Yes, ma'am..."

"Good!"

With a curt nod and one final glare in Laguna's direction, Lightning turned around and stormed off. Once she was far enough from the others, she took out a small figurine of Rainbow Dash from her back-pocket and began petting it lovingly. Sometimes, it helped give her the strength to keep fighting when she needed it most.

Laguna and Vaan simply exchanged worried glances over their teammate's unexpected behavior.
